WEEKLY REFLECTION 2️⃣8️⃣➖0️⃣1️⃣

DAY REFLECTION 24 - 28 OCTOBER 2024

Today was an eventful day at school, starting at 9:15 AM. During the second period, I took a substitution class in 8.C and taught about fainting, a relevant health topic, using role-play, charts, and poster activities, which the students enjoyed. The third period featured a film screening of "Akashangalkkappuram" for upper primary students, while I took a substitution in 9.C and explained anaerobic respiration. Lunchtime was spent helping with food serving, fostering a bond with the students. Post-lunch, the high school students attended their film screening. With the fifth, sixth, and seventh periods free, I reflected on the day and planned ahead. At 4:00 PM, I signed off.

DAY REFLECTION 25 - 29 OCTOBER 2024

Today marked the 25th day at school, but the atmosphere was unusual due to an education strike, resulting in only a few students being present. With most students sent home, the day was relatively quiet, and I focused on completing my tasks until lunchtime. Following the headmistress's permission, we signed the register and left the school at 2:00 PM, concluding the day earlier than usual.

DAY REFLECTION 26 - 30 OCTOBER 2024

Today was a productive day at school. I arrived by 9:15 AM and participated in the morning assembly at 9:30 AM. The highlight was the general observation by Nisha Miss, where I conducted my class for 8.C on "Cultivation without Soil" during the 3rd period. Afterward, she provided helpful feedback, advising me to use models, the blackboard more effectively, and ask inquiry-based questions for deeper learning, while also praising my teaching strengths. In the 4th period, I gave notes to my permanent class, 9.C, continuing from the last lesson. During my free 5th and 6th periods, I prepared diagnostic test questions for the 8th standard students. In the last period, I substituted in 8.C and clarified their doubts, reminding them about the test on Monday and encouraging them to study well.

November 1, Kerala Piravi, was a meaningful day filled with enriching experiences. I reached the school at 9:15 AM and began the day with a special assembly featuring prize distribution and a talk on Kerala Piravi. During the second hour, I had a substitution in 9.C, where I taught urea synthesis, and in the sixth hour, I taught the structure of the kidney in the same class. In the fourth hour, I assisted as an invigilator for a quiz competition conducted by the Social Science Club, highlighting Kerala Piravi. At noon, I helped serve lunch, and after a productive day, the school ended at 3:30 PM with the national anthem. It was a proud and fulfilling day that celebrated Kerala's rich heritage.
