WEEKLY REFLECTION 0️⃣4️⃣-0️⃣8️⃣

DAY REFLECTION 28 - 4 NOVEMBER 2024

Today marked the 28th day of my teaching practice, beginning with the morning assembly at 9:30 AM. The day involved active engagement with students, including substitutions in class 8.C, where I taught topics like native varieties, supporting organizations, and sustainable agriculture, and in class 9.C, where I introduced the structure of the nephron. During my permanent class in 8.C, I conducted a diagnostic test that extended into the seventh hour.The day concluded at 3:30 PM with the national anthem, leaving me with a sense of accomplishment and reflection on a fulfilling teaching experience.

DAY REFLECTION 29 - 5 NOVEMBER 2024

I reached the school at 9:15 AM and signed the register at 9:30 AM. The first and second hours were free, giving me time to prepare for the day. During the 3rd and 4th hours, I was assigned substitution classes in 5th B and 7th A standards, where I engaged the students effectively.
The 5th hour was free, and I used it productively for preparation. In the 6th and 7th hours, I handled a substitution class in 8.C, where I taught Space-Efficient Farming and Taxonomic Keys through interactive sessions.6th hour my peer Christina observed my class and gave me some suggestions for my improvement in comming lessons and she appreciated on my positives.The school day ended with the national anthem at 3:30 PM, after which I signed out at 3:45 PM and left the campus, feeling accomplished and content with my contributions for the day.

DAY REFLECTION 30 - 6 NOVEMBER 2024

On 6th November 2024, I reached school at 9:25 AM and signed the register. The day began with the morning assembly at 9:30 AM. During the 2nd hour, I had a substitution in 6A, followed by another in 9C during the 4th hour, where I taught the topic "urine formation". In the 6th hour, I taught "history of taxonomy" during a substitution in 8C. The 7th hour was my regular class in 9C, where I provided notes on the previous lesson. The school day ended at 3:30 PM with the national anthem, after which I had invigilation duty for the 10th standard's second-term exam from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM. I signed the register after completing the duty and left the school.

DAY REFLECTION 31 - 7 NOVEMBER 2024

I reached school at 9:30 AM and started the day with two hours of substitution in LP classes. During the 4th hour, I taught my permanent class, 9C, the topic "Health of Kidney", followed by a substitution in 8C during the 5th hour, where I introduced "Taxonomic Hierarchy by Linnaeus". At lunchtime, I helped serve meals to the students. The afternoon session was free, which I used to prepare lesson plans and write the previous day's reflection. After school ended at 3:30 PM, I had invigilation duty for the 10th standard second-term exam until 4:30 PM. Once the exam was completed, I signed the register and left the school.

DAY REFLECTION 32 - 8 NOVEMBER 2024

I reached school at 9:20 AM, and the day began with the school assembly at 9:30 AM, followed by classes starting at 9:45 AM. I was free during the first hour, and in the second hour, I had a substitution in 9C, where my peer Devika observed my class and appreciated my improvements. The third hour was free, and in the 4th hour, I substituted in 7 B, teaching "Ecology and Ecosystem".During lunch, I helped serve meals to the students, and the 5th and 6th hours were free, giving me some time to plan. In the 7th hour, I conducted a dictation activity in 5B. The school day ended at 3:30 PM with the national anthem, and I signed the register before leaving at 3:45 PM.

WEEKEND REFLECTION - 09 NOVEMBER 2024

On 9th November 2024, a general reflection session for the seventh week of the School Internship Program Phase I was conducted at our college from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM under the guidance of the optional teachers of the Malayalam and Social Science departments. Student representatives from various schools shared their experiences, including teaching practices, class observations, duties assigned, and programs such as NAS exams, school Kalolsavam preparations, PTA meetings, and awareness initiatives.Many highlighted challenges faced, support received from schools, and opportunities for professional growth. Some schools had absent representatives, but overall, the session provided a platform for students to reflect on their teaching journey and exchange valuable insights.
