II PHASE WEEKLY REFLECTION 2️⃣5️⃣ - 2️⃣9️⃣

 DAY REFLECTION 1 : 25 NOVEMBER 2024

On November 25, 2024, the second day of our second-phase teaching practice, I reached the school on time, signed the attendance register, and attended the morning assembly conducted by Class 9B. My first session was with 6A, where I engaged students in an interactive lesson. In the 2nd period, I introduced the lesson Behind Movements to 9C, sparking curiosity about its historical significance. The 4th period was with 8C, where I continued the scheduled lesson, ensuring active participation. Later, in the 6th period, I taught Biotic Factors to 8C, explaining the concept with examples and discussions. The day was productive, and I utilized my free periods to prepare for upcoming classes, making the most of this enriching teaching experience.

DAY REFLECTION 2 : 26 NOVEMBER 2024

The second day of our teaching practice began at 8:00 AM. With the District Kalolsavam 2024-25 preparations happening in the school, the day had a lively atmosphere. After signing the register at 9:30 AM, I took a class in IX C during the third period, where I taught "Movements in the Living World." The session was interactive, with students actively participating. Later, during the seventh period in VIII C, I introduced "Abiotic Factors," encouraging students to connect concepts with real-life examples. The rest of the time was utilized for lesson planning and preparation. The day concluded at 3:45 PM, marking another fulfilling experience in our teaching journey.

DAY REFLECTION 3 : 27 NOVEMBER 2024

Today marked the third day of our second phase of teaching practice. I reached the school at 9:15 AM and signed the attendance register by 9:50 AM. The day coincided with the second day of the District School Kalolsavam 2024, and since our school was one of the venues, competitions like Sanskrit Elocution, Recitation, and Storytelling for UP, HS, and HSS categories took place in the top-floor auditorium. As there were no regular classes, we spent the day watching the performances and engaging in our own academic work. After lunch, we continued observing the events and completed our pending tasks. At 5:00 PM, we signed the register and left the school as per the instructions of the headmistress.

DAY REFLECTION 4 : 28 NOVEMBER 2024

On November 28, 2024 (Thursday), we reached the school at 9:15 AM for the fourth day of our second-phase teaching practice. As usual, we signed the attendance register by 9:30 AM. Today was the third day of the District School Kalolsavam, so unfortunately, we didn’t have any regular classes. The events for the day included Saraswathi Song singing for UP and HS boys and girls, Ashtapadi for high school boys and girls, and Group Song for the UP section. Since there were no classes, we engaged in our work, preparing lesson plans and other tasks. After lunch, we continued our work, and by 5:00 PM, we signed the register and left the school.

DAY REFLECTION 5 : 29 NOVEMBER 2024

Today marked the fifth day of our second phase of teaching practice, but there were no regular classes as our school was actively participating in the fourth day of the Kollam District Kalotsavam. The school staged competitions for Tamil Recitation (UP, HS, and HSS) and Elocution (HS section), creating a vibrant and competitive atmosphere. With the entire focus on the festival, the school administration granted me a day off. It was a day to observe the cultural enthusiasm of students and appreciate the significance of co-curricular activities in holistic education.
