DAY REFLECTION 14- 14 OCTOBER 2024
I reached the school at 9:20 AM, just in time to participate in the morning assembly at 9:30 AM. The assembly set a positive tone for the day, fostering a sense of community and discipline.During the first hour, I handled a substitution class for 6A, where I focused on maintaining student engagement and discipline. In the third hour, I had the opportunity to teach the topic alveolar exchange of gases to 9C.
In the sixth hour, I conducted a class for 8C on the topic fertilizers, which was observed by Christina. Her feedback was constructive and emphasized areas for my professional growth, such as enhancing my blackboard skills and improving the audibility of my voice during teaching. I deeply value this advice and plan to work on these aspects in the coming days.The school day concluded at 3:30 PM.
DAY REFLECTION 15- 15 OCTOBER 2024
Today was a productive and insightful day at school, beginning at 9:25 AM.Second Hour:I observed my peer Christina's class in 8B. Her topic was "Waste Management and Sustainable Agriculture." It was a well-prepared session that provided a comprehensive understanding of the topic. After the class, I shared some constructive suggestions for improvement. Observing her teaching also helped me identify areas where I could enhance my own teaching methods.
Sixth and Seventh Hours:Our Physical Education teacher visited for observation during our yoga session. I led the students through two asanas: Hasthauthanasana and Ashtanganamaskar. The session was well-received, and the students participated actively.The day ended at 3:30 PM after the national anthem.
DAY REFLECTION 16 - 16 OCTOBER 2024
Today was an enriching and fulfilling day both as a teacher and as part of the B.Ed curriculum. I reached the school at 9:15 AM, ready to engage with the students and contribute to their learning journey.During the 4th period, I taught the topic “Transport of Gases” to the students of class 9C. The lesson focused on the mechanisms of oxygen and carbon dioxide transport in the human body.In the 5th period, I substituted in class 8C and discussed the topic “Control of Pests.” The session aimed to create awareness about sustainable agricultural practices and the harmful effects of excessive pesticide use.The highlight of the day was the World Food Day activity organized as part of the B.Ed curriculum under EDU 12 at SKVVVHSS Thrikkannamangal. Working alongside my team—Devika Murali, Aswathy, Christina, —was a collaborative and learning experience.The activity began with a pledge where students vowed to minimize food wastage and adopt sustainable practices. The poster-making competition that followed was an incredible display of creativity and awareness among the students.The day concluded with the national anthem at 3:30 PM, marking the end of a productive and purposeful day.
This day has further motivated me to approach teaching with renewed enthusiasm and dedication.

Today was a productive day at school, starting at 9:30 AM. The third period was dedicated to class preparation, allowing me to refine my content for the day. In the fourth period, I conducted my scheduled class with 9C, teaching the topic of cellular respiration.The fifth, sixth, and seventh periods were free, which I utilized effectively to draft a new lesson plan for the coming days.The day concluded at 3:30 PM with the national anthem, marking the end of a constructive day.
DAY REFLECTION 18 - 18 OCTOBER 2024
Today started with the morning assembly from 9:30 to 9:45 AM, setting a positive tone for the day. I reached the school by 9:20 AM, ensuring enough time to prepare for the day ahead.In the 3rd and 4th periods, I got substitution duties in 9.C, where I taught the topic haemoglobin in an innovative and engaging way, capturing the students' interest. In the next period, I provided them with notes to reinforce their understanding of the topic.The school day ended at 3:30 PM, marking a productive day filled with teaching, learning, and meaningful interactions with students and staff.
WEEKEND REFLECTION @BMMTC KOTTARAKKARA -19 OCTOBER 2024
The general reflection session held on October 19, 2024, provided an opportunity for B.Ed trainees to share their experiences from the fourth week of the School Internship Program Phase I. Students from various schools discussed their teaching experiences, challenges, and duties. Topics included managing large classes, conducting substitution and observation classes, integrating ICT in teaching, and participating in school events such as Sasthramela, Kalolsavam, and youth festivals. Many highlighted issues like noisy classrooms, health challenges, and inadequate resources like projectors.Despite these challenges, they also shared positive learning experiences, including remedial classes, school-based activities, and collaborative efforts with staff and students. However, representatives from some schools were absent, and a few noted limited opportunities for teaching in the past weeks. Overall, the session emphasized diverse experiences and reflections, aiding professional growth and peer learning.
