
DAY-4: CAMP DIARY – 06.09.2024
The fourth day of our vibrant camp, "നിറവ്," unfolded with a perfect blend of activities, enriching sessions, and creative engagements. The schedule was packed with insightful talks and lively entertainment, ensuring both mental stimulation and physical fitness.
Morning Routine
The day began early at 5:45 AM with the soothing call for പള്ളിയുണർത്തൽ to wake up and embrace the new day. The energetic Zumba session at 6:30 AM led by Smt. Rajitha T. invigorated everyone, setting the tone for an action-packed day.
After the workout, we gathered for a hearty breakfast at 7:30 AM, fueling ourselves for the enlightening sessions ahead.
Session 1: എന്നിലെ എന്നോട് (Mind and Health)
At 9:30 AM, we dived into a thought-provoking session titled "എന്നിലെ എന്നോട്" (Mind and Health) led by Dr. Sreejith Nair, a renowned Clinical Psychologist. The talk offered valuable insights into mental well-being, the connection between mind and body, and the importance of maintaining mental health in our daily lives. The session helped us reflect on our internal dialogue and the need to nurture our mental resilience. Mrs. Shijini Jose, Assistant Professor, extended her heartfelt thanks for the enriching experience.
Break & Interactive Games
A short break at 11:15 AM with some refreshing "കലക്കവെള്ളം" kept the campers energized for the upcoming sessions.
Session 2: YES YOUR HONOUR (Teachers and Legal Literacy)
At 11:45 AM, Adv. Amina Salam, a seasoned advocate, took the stage for a session on "YES YOUR HONOUR", focusing on the importance of legal literacy for the teaching community. The talk emphasized the legal rights and responsibilities of teachers, empowering them to navigate the educational system with greater awareness. Mrs. Sheeja Chacko, Assistant Professor, expressed her gratitude for this insightful session.
Afternoon Activities
The camp continued with a fun and engaging afternoon. After a delicious lunch at 1:30 PM.
The session that followed was titled "Fourth Pillar," and it focused on the significant role of the media in society
Session 3: Changing Media Culture in a Shifting World
At 2:15 PM, Mrs. Jisha Elizabeth delivered a captivating session on "മാറുന്ന ലോകത്തെ മാധ്യമ സംസ്കാരം" (Changing Media Culture in a Shifting World). She shed light on the rapid evolution of media, its influence on society, and how media literacy is essential for responsible consumption in today's digital age. The session was an eye-opener, particularly in understanding the ethical challenges that media professionals face.
Evening Tea Break & Refreshments
After the intellectually stimulating session, the campers enjoyed a well-deserved break with "ഹേ... ഭായി ഒരു ബജ്ജി" at 3:45 PM, followed by some relaxation and rejuvenation time with "നീരാട്ട്" at 4:00 PM.
Session 4: Writing through the Lens of New Malayalam Literature
The evening session at 6:00 PM was a literary treat. Sri. Akhil P. Dharmmajan, a writer and scriptwriter, and Sri. Aadhi, a research scholar and writer, shared their profound insights into "എഴുത്തിൻ്റെ അകംപൊരുൾ നവ മലയാള സാഹിത്യത്തിലൂടെ" (The Inner Essence of Writing Through New Malayalam Literature). The discussion revolved around contemporary trends in Malayalam literature and the deeper meanings embedded in the writings of the new generation of authors. The interaction was deeply inspiring, leaving everyone with a renewed appreciation for the power of the written word.
Night Celebrations
The day ended on a high note. After a fulfilling dinner at 8:00 PM, we gathered around for the much-anticipated Campfire session titled "ആട്ടവും ഫട്ടും". The fun and laughter flowed freely as campers engaged in lively performances, games, and storytelling around the fire. The night winded down by 11:00 PM with everyone retiring to their rooms, tired but content after an eventful day.
Day 4 was a perfect blend of learning, creativity, and fun. The sessions touched upon crucial topics of mental health, legal literacy, media, and literature, leaving a lasting impact on all participants. As the camp continues, the energy and enthusiasm are growing stronger, making each day a memorable chapter in our lives.
