DAY 3: – 05.09.2024 (Thursday)
Theme: "Survival"
The third day of our camp began with an air of enthusiasm and anticipation as participants gathered for the morning assembly at 9:00 AM. The theme of the day, "Survival," set the tone for a day filled with inspiring sessions and thought-provoking discussions.
Morning Sessions:
At 9:30 AM, the theme presentation unfolded, focusing on the essence of survival in today's challenging world. Shortly after, at 10:00 AM, we were privileged to attend a captivating session by renowned writer Mr. Benyamin. His talk, "Survival in Life and Writing," was a blend of his personal experiences and literary insights, leaving everyone deeply moved by the stories of resilience and triumph.
Afternoon:
Post-lunch, at 12:26 PM, we were introduced to the concept of self-defense for survival through a workshop titled "Nirbhaya Swayaraksha - Innovative Lessons in Defense." This session was led by Master Arjun R., Master Muhammed Anas. Their practical demonstrations and empowering messages highlighted the importance of self-defense in today's world. The session concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks.
Lunch was served at 1:15 PM, providing a much-needed break before the afternoon activities.
At 2:00 PM, the focus shifted to a celebration of Teacher's Day. The event, titled "Adhyapakare… Ithile… Ithile…," was a vibrant and joyful tribute to the educators who shape lives. The program featured performances, speeches, and activities that expressed gratitude and respect for the teaching fraternity.
Evening:
At 3:30 PM, we had an insightful talk by Mr. M. Swaraj, former MLA, on "The Responsibilities of Youth in Times of Survival." His speech was a call to action for the younger generation, emphasizing the need for resilience, responsibility, and community building in today's fast-changing world.
The evening continued with a nature walk to Meenpidippara at 4:30 PM, a refreshing opportunity for participants to connect with nature and reflect on the day’s learnings.
Night:
Dinner was served at 7:00 PM, under the playful theme of "Athaazhapashnikkaarundo?" which lightened the mood with fun and laughter.
The night came alive at 8:30 PM with "Gala Gala Galatt...," a high-energy entertainment session by Spotifie Kollam, where participants bonded over music, dance, and games.
By 11:00 PM, the participants go to their respective allotted rooms in college for a restful night's sleep (Palliyurakkam), recharging for the next day's adventures.
The third day of the camp not only instilled survival skills but also reinforced the importance of community, self-defense, and the role of youth in shaping the future. The participants left the day feeling empowered and ready to face any challenges with resilience.
