DAY REFLECTION 33 - 11 NOVEMBER 2024
Today, I reached the school at 9:15 AM, signed the register at 9:25 AM, and attended the morning assembly at 9:30 AM. In the 1st hour, I had a substitution in class 7 C, where I taught Biology, and the 2nd hour was free, giving me time to prepare for my lessons. During the 3rd and 4th hours, I managed substitution duties in the LP classes, which was a unique and engaging experience. In the 6th hour, I conducted my scheduled class in 8C, teaching Binomial Nomenclature with interactive examples, which helped students understand the concept effectively.The 7th hour was free, and at 3:30 PM, when the school day officially ended, I had exam invigilation duty for the 10th standard students from 3:30 to 4:30 PM. After completing my responsibilities, I signed the register and left the school, marking the end of a productive day.
DAY REFLECTION 34 - 12 NOVEMBER 2024
I reached school at 9:20 AM and began the day with a substitution class in 6A, where I engaged the students by drawing a picture on the board and asking them to replicate it. During the 3rd hour in 9C, I taught the topic of kidney transplantation, which was met with curiosity and active participation. After a free 4th hour, I assisted in serving lunch, fostering interaction with students and staff. In the 5th hour, I conducted a test paper for 7 B as instructed by their teacher.Finally, during my permanent class in 8C in the 7th hour, I clarified students' doubts, ensuring a productive session. The school day concluded at 3:30 PM with the National Anthem, wrapping up a fulfilling and engaging day.
DAY REFLECTION 35 - 13 NOVEMBER 2024
I reached school at 9:15 AM, and the day began with the morning assembly at 9:30 AM. During the first two hours, I had a substitution class in 7B, where the students utilized the time to complete their additional work. In the 3rd hour, I took a substitution class in 5A and taught a passage from their English textbook. The 4th hour was free for me. In the 5th hour, I taught 5 Kingdom Classification in 8C, and my peer Aswathy observed the class. During the 7th hour, which was my permanent class in 9C, I gave the students their pending notes.The regular school time ended at 3:30 PM with the National Anthem. Following this, I had exam invigilation duty for the 10th standard second-term exam from 3:30 to 4:30 PM. After completing my duties, I signed the register and left the school.
DAY REFLECTION 36 - 14 NOVEMBER 2024
Today, I reached the school at 9:25 AM.There was a special assembly on this day because of the importance of the day- Children's day after the assembly i got substitution in Class 5 A during the first hour, where I helped students study Mathematics. The second hour was free, allowing me time to prepare for the day ahead. In the third and fourth hours, I took classes for 9C; the third hour was a substitution, while the fourth was my permanent class, during which I engaged the students effectively.During lunch, I assisted in serving food, contributing to the smooth functioning of the meal break. The fifth, sixth, and seventh hours were spent handling substitutions in the Lower Primary classes, where I kept the younger students engaged and disciplined. The school day ended at 3:30 PM with the national anthem, concluding a productive day filled with teaching, learning, and meaningful interactions.
DAY REFLECTION 37 - 15 NOVEMBER 2024
Today was a productive and engaging day at school, starting with my arrival at 9:15 AM. The first hour was free, allowing me to organize my tasks, followed by a substitution in Class 9B during the second hour, where I conducted a chemistry class test as per the teacher's instructions. The third and fourth periods were free, which I utilized to prepare the blueprint and questions for the achievement test. During lunch break, I assisted in serving lunch, fostering a sense of community.In the fifth hour, I supervised Class 9D in the IT lab, and in the sixth hour, I taught the topic "Maintenance of Homeostasis" to Class 9C, which was an interactive and rewarding session. The seventh hour was free, giving me time to reflect on my work. Although the school day officially ended at 3:30 PM with the national anthem, I stayed back for invigilation duty for the 10th standard second-term exam, completing it before signing the register and leaving the school. It was a fulfilling day marked by teaching, preparation, and active participation in school activities.
WEEKEND REFLECTION - 16 NOVEMBER 2024
The eighth weekend reflection session for Natural Science optional students was held on 16th November 2024 under the guidance of Dr. Praveena M. The session provided an opportunity for B.Ed trainees to share their experiences from the past week of teaching practice. Arya Sha from KSM VHSS, Edavattom, shared about a special Children’s Day assembly and completing her first-phase teaching practice. Christina Jaise from SKV VHSS, Thrikkannamangal, reflected on supervising 10th-grade midterm exams, conducting a test for 9th-grade students, and participating in a diabetes awareness program. Greeshma A.S.from St. Mary’s HS, Kizhakketheruvu, highlighted her exam duties, a diagnostic test, and remedial classes. Adithya Devi S. from SNSM HSS, Elampalloor, discussed her involvement in the District Youth Festival, which limited her classroom teaching to a single session. Chandana A. from St. Gregorios HS, Kottarakkara, shared her experience with unit test preparation and the NAS survey, while Chinnu S., from the same school, reflected on general discussions at school and about the dt she conducted.Anupriya P. from SKVVHSS, Thrikkannamangal, talked about helping students with notes and preparing question papers. Jasna Jafar from Gems HS, Poonkodu, shared her experience organizing classroom activities and assisting with assignments. Anjitha A.P. from Girls HS, Karunagappally, reflected on completing her lesson plans and managing classrooms, while Parvathy L. from Marthoma Girls HS, Kottarakkara, mentioned conducting a quiz competition for Children’s Day and organizing peer activities.The session concluded with constructive feedback from Dr. Praveena M., who encouraged the trainees to enhance their teaching practices further.
