HIROSHIMA DAY๐Ÿ’ฅ

On Hiroshima Day, the B.Ed trainees at Baselios Marthoma Mathews II College of Teacher Education (BMMTC) organized a meaningful program to remember the tragic events of August 6, 1945. This event was conducted by the students of the Social Science option and aimed to foster awareness about the consequences of nuclear warfare and the importance of peace.

  • The students showcased their artistic skills and conveyed powerful messages through a  poster,which been displayed infront of the seminar hall.

  • A solemn pledge was taken by all attendees, reaffirming their commitment to promoting peace and preventing the recurrence of such a devastating event. The pledge served as a reminder of our collective responsibility to work towards a world free from the threat of nuclear weapons.

  • In an effort to engage the mind and promote strategic thinking, a Sudoku presentation was held. This activity symbolized the need for critical thinking and problem-solving skills in addressing global issues, much like the complexities involved in maintaining world peace.

  • The program featured compelling speeches by students and faculty members, reflecting on the historical significance of Hiroshima Day. The speakers highlighted the importance of remembering the past to prevent future atrocities and underscored the role of education in cultivating a culture of peace.

The Hiroshima Day program at BMMTC was a poignant reminder of the devastating impact of nuclear warfare and a call to action for all individuals to contribute to a more peaceful and just world. Through their dedication and creativity, the B.Ed trainees successfully conveyed the enduring importance of Hiroshima Day and the universal aspiration for peace.
