Ashraya is a refuge, working as a social and democratic institution with a secular outlook to provide food, shelter, medical aid and rehabilitation to those needy in the society including orphans all over the state of Kerala. Hundreds of destitute are being looked after in different homes. 

Ashraya and associated institutions all over Kerala are becoming a refuge to the thousands of homeless, abandoned, mentally retarded and deranged, orphans and elderly. The last eighteen years since its inception in 1994 witnessed the humble growth of the institution. Ashraya now has seven rehabilitation units all over the state of Kerala. The major among those is Sanketham at Kalayapuram, Kottarakkara where almost thousands residents are being taken care of by a dedicated team led by Kalayapuram Jose .

An official meeting was held at 11.30 am to 1.45 pm
